4-H in your community

Each of the foothill counties offer a variety of experiences. To find out what is going on in your 4-H community click on the clover link below that leads to your county. For other information such as Joining 4-H, Volunteering in 4-H or a list of Forms, check the menu on the left.

Why Join 4-H

The 4-H Youth Development Program offers many fun and educational activities for its members. When you join a community club, you make new friends, learn about raising animals, get involved in making a difference in your community, be a leader, learn about public speaking and record keeping skills, participate in county fair and 4-H camp, create things for everyone to enjoy, and go on exciting trips!

4-H members choose projects that interest them. A variety of projects are offered including;

  • animal care
  • arts & crafts
  • community service
  • leadership, and much more.

National 4-H Campaign

 Raise Your Hand - March 1 to June 30, 2017

Go to 4-H.org/RaiseYourHand to show your pride as a 4-H alumi youth, family & volunteer and vote for California. Raise Your Hand is a vote towards a $20,000, $10,000 or $5,000 award for the states with the most alumni hands raised. If California comes in 1st, 2nd or 3rd in the country the money awarded will go to teen leadership development programs for all CA 4-H teens.
