Central Sierra Food Preservation 4-H Project

Open to ages 5 to 18, younger youth must have assistance with writing, reading, and projects at home.

The Food Preservation project provides opportunities for members to learn safe food preservation; practice techniques in canning, freezing, and drying of foods; and use preserved foods creatively in meals and snacks. The 4-H Food Preservation project gives 4-H members the opportunity to express creativity, practice decision making, and learn skills that will be useful throughout their lives.

Meetings: Begin in November (meeting are 60 minutes) via Zoom

Required Project Supplies:  
One (1) three ring 1” binder 
Writing utensils
