eXtension Training for Adult Volunteers

All new adults who apply to be an adult volunteer in the 4-H YD Program must complete eXtension online training, consisting of:

  • 4-H Volunteer Orientation Lessons (40 min)
  • Foundations of Positive Youth Development (20 min)
  • Toward an Intercultural Connected 4-H (60 min)
  • Abuse Risk Management for Volunteers (15 min)

All returning adult volunteers must complete eXtension online training, consisting of:

  • Maintaining an Inclusive 4-H Experience (10 min)
  • Abuse Risk Management for Volunteers (15 min)

Obtain the enrollment key from the University of California 4-H YDP, Central Sierra Office at 530-621-5503 or email njstarr@ucanr.edu.

In Person eXtension Training

This option allows volunteers to come to a training where a county staff will take participants through the eXtension courses as a group. Participants will be required to complete a paper quiz throughout the course.

Schedule:
6:00-6:15 p.m.   Maintaining an Inclusive 4-H Experience
6:15 -6:30 p.m.  Abuse Risk Management for Volunteers (15 min.)
6:30-6:40 p.m.   Returning Leader Wrap-up and Break
6:40-7:40 p.m.   Toward an Intercultural Connected 4-H (60 min.)
7:40-8:00 p.m.   Foundations of Positive Youth Development (20 min)
8:00-8:40 p.m.   4-H Volunteer Orientation Lessons (40 min)
8:40-8:45 p.m.   New Leader Wrap-up
