Too many rocks in your garden? Does your soil seem to have few nutrients, but lots of gophers? Planting vegetables and flowers in raised beds can help successful gardeners maximize their growing area and overcome these problems. The UCCE Master Gardeners of Amador County are presenting a Public Education class on Saturday, March 3, 2018 to help home gardeners evaluate, design and use various types of raised beds, including straw bale beds. This class will also include information on using landscape terracing to improve your garden irrigation. Handouts will be provided. The class is free and open to the public. Reservations are not required.
Location: Classes are held in the GSA building at 12200-B Airport Rd. in Jackson from 9am to Noon.
