|UCCE Master Gardeners of El Dorado County want your input!||
UCCE Master Gardeners of El Dorado County want your input. It is our charge to educate the public on current gardening issues and to give advice on how to become better home gardeners. To help us understand your needs as a home gardener, we have created a short ten-question survey. You can complete the survey online by clicking this link or pasting it into your browser -- bit.ly/1qCsRId Or, you can download a paper copy of the survey, which is attached.
Master Gardeners are local volunteers trained by the University of California in all aspects of home gardening: from growing awesome veggies, to caring for perennial and annual plants, as well as fruit trees, soils, pest management, weather, weed control and more. The survey asks what day of the week, what times, and what locations are best for our free public gardening classes. It asks what class topics interest you -- such as edible landscaping, roses or gardening with children.
The survey takes only a few minutes to complete. Please help us and complete the survey now. We value your input. For questions, call the El Dorado County Master Gardener office (530) 621-5512, or you are welcome to visit our office from Tuesday to Friday between 9:00 a.m. and noon, at 311 Fair Lane in Placerville.
For more information about UCCE Master Gardeners of El Dorado County current public education classes and activities, go to our Master Gardener website at http://ucanr.edu/sites/EDC_Master_Gardeners/. You received this email because you signed up to get our online notices and e-newsletter.
Thank you for taking the time to complete this survey. We value your input.

|Edible Landscaping Workshop - January 26, 2013||
Edible Landscaping Workshop
Hosted by the El Dorado County Master Gardeners
January 26, 2013
Of late, for a number of reasons, there has been a tremendous increase in vegetable gardening among those living in both rural and urban areas. Many people want to grow their own food and not just in a vegetable garden. The Edible Landscape emphasizes growing fruits, vegetables, and herbs in the context of the ornamental home landscape. The process of creating an Edible Landscape is the same as one with purely ornamental features, but much more functional and sustainable substituting edible or fruit-bearing plants, where appropriate, for lawn, shrubs and trees.
Download the flyer and help spread the word about this exciting new workshop presented by the El Dorado County Master Gardeners!
