Were you planning on attending the UCCE Master Food Preserver’s Ethnic Edibles class in Jackson this Saturday, September 12? If so, there’s a schedule change.
Due to the nearby raging Butte Fire, the Ethnic Edibles class is rescheduled for Saturday, October 10, from 10-12 Noon in San Andreas at the Calaveras Senior Center. It will replace the previously scheduled class, All About Olives class. You can still learn how to preserve olives at the combination UCCE Master Gardener/Master Food Preserver class on Saturday, October 17, called Growing, Harvesting, Curing, Preserving and Eating Olives!, in Jackson.
Attached are the current class schedules for UCCE Master Food Preserver classes in Amador, Calaveras and El Dorado counties, along with the flyer for the upcoming Holiday Gifts from the Kitchen and Garden. This new event is a combination class hosted by both the UCCE Master Food Preservers and Master Gardeners with a variety of demonstrations and inspiration tables to inspire your gift giving plans for the fall and winter holidays.
